SEED Capital is the largest early stage venture fund in Denmark and is specialized in identifying and developing new and innovative tech and medtech companies. SEED Capital manages both private venture capital and government funding. The government funding allows SEED Capital to invest in new companies in the early stages, and the most successful companies can receive private venture capital in the later investment rounds. SEED Capital manages DKK 1.8 Billion and has about 70 companies in their portfolio.

Besides being the major shareholder in Novo Nordisk A/S and Novozymes A/S, Novo A/S provides seed and venture capital to development stage companies and takes significant ownership positions in well-established companies, within life science and biotechnology, as well as manages a broad portfolio of financial assets.
Vækstfonden is a government fund that helps create more new growth companies by making capital and expertise available. In cooperation with private investors, the fund has since 1992 co-financed growth of more than 5,000 Danish companies for a total commitment of more than 12 billion DKK.
